Professional Training Year (PTY) Student
Bethany is completing a professional training year supervised by Professor Jonathan Mill during her third year of Medical Sciences at the University of Exeter. Throughout her studies so far she has become particularly interested in the role of epigenetics in the pathogenesis of mental health conditions, particularly schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. She completed work experience at The Harplands Psychiatric Hospital, Staffordshire, and will be volunteering at Samutthana, the King’s College London resource centre for trauma, displacement and mental health in Sri Lanka, during the summer of 2016.
